CGI with training wheels

If any of your friends have been trying to mooch free CGI scripting lessons from you (and I know mine sure have), you can just give them this link and send them on their merry way. This tutorial, which earned a 9.28 rating (out of 10) at CGI Resource Index, is titled the "Beginner's Guide to CGI Scripting with Perl." As the webmaster aptly reminds us with his epigram from J.R.R. Tolkien, "Perilous to us all are the devices of an art deeper than we possess ourselves." With this straightforward set of instructions, no one need be beset by the Balrog of file permissions, or beleagured by orc-like scalar variables. Give it a whirl.
