New Airbags for SUVs

Whew! I feel safer already. Ford has announced plans to put a new type of airbag in its SUVs specifically designed to curb the deadly effects of rollovers. The decision to introduce the new bag, which should be installed in the '01 line of vehicles, comes in response to consumer surveys indictaing overwhelming desire for the new safety feature. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also been bugging the automaker to address the rollover problem, which is the most common type of fatal truck accident.
