USA Track & Field

The Amateur Sports Act of 1967 granted monopolies to the governing bodies of national sports, like Major League Baseball and the National Football League. In the arena of "athletics"-- the Olympic term for track & field-- the old Amateur Athletics Union got the monopoly, succeeded by The Athletics Congress, and now USA Track & Field. This site evokes all the flavor of that history, with links to national event pages, national records, athlete biographies, and local associations. The site has lots of content, but some of the information is outdated. Perhaps USATF's monopoly status makes it less competitive than other, more dynamic track & field sites like DyeStat. I give this site an A for effort but a B for currency.
