So you've probably read reviews in this e-zine of scores of sites dedicated to exotic sports, activities that require elaborate equipment and herculean physical efforts. Well, I've found something quite different to evaluate. The Dirty Sole Society's site exists to extoll the virtues of simply walking with bare feet. Yup, that's it: These folks just hate footwear, and given the choice, would keep their tootsies au natural at all times. If you need persuasion to drop those sneakers in the trash can, browse through the Barefoot FAQ, in which you'll get advice for doffing your shoes in all sorts of scenarios (such as on hot asphalt--e gads!) For you sports enthusiasts, don't miss the links at the bottom of the page to sites for barefoot runners, hikers, and waterskiiers. This site had me convinced; I'm taking of my shoes as I type this.
