Much lip service has been given lately to discovering what causes some people to identify themselves as heterosexual and others as gay. This website is devoted to one debated theory: the "gay gene." Check out Research and Commentary for a compendeum of articles and book excerpts related to the investigation of genetics and sexuality. The Ongoing Studies section posts notices of current research projects looking for volunteer subjects. Substantive essays are provided by distinguished guest columnists (the site itself is moderated by noted author Chandler Burr). But a real highlight of the site is the discussion area. Although, oddly, no new postings have appeared in the last few months, the past comments are thought-provoking, and Burr's extensive responses are particularly astute and illuminating. This is a top-notch site for serious exchanges about a fascinating topic--don't miss it.
