Rock 'n' Roll Banned

Site: http://www.ericnuzum.com/banned

Or should that read banned rock 'n' roll? This website purports to provide a "selective online chronicle of popular music that has been censored, banned, suppressed, or altered against the wishes of its creators." I'm not sure how comprehensive it is, but what's here certainly piqued my interest. Click on the overview of music censorship "from Elvis to Ice-T" for starters. The take the decade by decade tour of censored pop songs, from Billie Holiday's rendition of "Love for Sale" to the ribald 2Live Crew chestnut "Me So Horny," up to the present day. There are also links to anti-censorship discussion groups and an area where you can post your feedback on the site. This is a terrific reference site for pop music fans and civil libertarians alike. Bookmark it.
