Don't be original, just cliche your way!

OK, lets take a side trip off the main Internet thoroughfare. Let's do something wacky like investigate "cliches." What exactly is a cliche? A cliche is not just something that lots of people say; it's something that lots of people say and it conveys some sort of idea or message. A cliche is, in other words, a metaphor characterized by its overuse. Our modern language is full of cliches--and here is the proof. Just visit the "Cliche Finder" website, type in a common word, and you will see a listing all popular cliches which contain that particular word. SO--what is so great about cliches? You just might want to select a few very unique ones and use them to spice up your e-mail, or enhance the copy on your website. Fellow "netizens" just might think you are a real wordsmith!
