"FWAK" and other sound effects of MAD's Don Martin

Don Martin, the irreverent Mad Magazine cartoonist, died January 9th at 68 from cancer. His art in MAD Magazine appeared consistently for 30 years until 1987. Three of his favorite sound effects showcased in his art, to the delight of fans, included "blorted," "katoonged," and "skroinched." MAD's most favorite son and artist offers a legacy to aspiring cartoonists on the DC Comics website. They are searching for freelance artists to offer their offbeat, clever, and satirist humor in an attempt to reshape the visual appeal of MAD Magazine for the next generation.
