old-school engines

Site: http://old-engine.com/index.shtml

I've never given much thought to engines; the only time I really ponder them is when the one in my car stops functioning. Fortuntately, not everyone is as inobservant of these mechanical marvels as I am. In fact, folks like Harry Matthews have devoted sizable chunks of time to the collection of antique engines of all types. With his Old Engine website, Harry has created a great spot for engine aficionados. Scan the long, photo-illustrated explanation and repair advice for antique-engine ignitions (complete with posted e-mail responses from other engine buffs), then check out the suppliers' directory. A nice touch here: Included in the photos of Harry's personal collection are RealAudio clips, so you can hear as well as see his prized motors. Good fun.
