One of the little known secrets of sea travel is Freighter Travel. Few people know that all those cargo ships traveling the oceans of the world also carry passengers. This site is an excellent guide to freighter travel. Travel first class at bargain prices and eat with the captain every night. Space is limited, but there are lots of freighters. Freighter trips are usually longer in duration than those for cruise ships, so if you're in a hurry, catch a plane. This isn't the Love Boat, so don't look for Julie on the promenade deck.
