mp3.com's new "My.MP3"

MP3.com is a pretty cool place. But you already know that.... What you may not know is that their new service really is an attention grabber. Try it if you haven't already. At the heart of My.MP3.com is the ability to "beam" CDs from your personal collection directly to your My.MP3 account (a bit misleading, since they actually have many CDs on file. They are simply verifying that you own a CD they have in their library and then giving you access to tracks from that particular CD on your My.MP3 account). Log in and check it out. You can organize your MP3's, get instant access to MP3 DAM CDs you buy online, and in general increase your enjoyment at this already-popular site. Pros: Very cool, very easy, great to have CDs from your collection available any time. Cons: MP3.com has an awful lot of animated banners, which makes navigation slow at times. Overall rating: A
