"Music Industry Death Knell": a must read

Will CDs go the way of vinyl? (What is vinyl, you ask? Go ask grandma and grandpa....) Michael Stroud, writing for Wired News, seems to think so, and he makes a compelling case. MP3 as a format is as revolutionary as the CD was--and it may be taking us back to a simpler time. Anybody remember buying 45's 'cause you liked one song by an artist but you didn't want the entire album? MP3 may be the 45-RPM record of tomorrow. There are some good quotes from various industry execs, and an interesting look at what it means for Warner Brothers music to be acquired by AOL. Fascinating stuff!
