If you follow developments in computer security, you've no doubt heard about the troubles at CDuniverse. The online music retailer was burned recently when a hacker stole 10,000 credit card numbers and posted them on the site for all to see. Now comes word, in this article from internetnews.com, that CDuniverse routinely included customer credit card numbers in the e-mails sent out confirming orders placed through Yahoo. What were these guys smoking over there anyway? The URL above can't give you THAT answer, but it can clue you in to the number one cause of security breaches: operator stupidity.
