another credit-card database violated

In yet another incidence of a failure of encryption, health products supplier Global Health Trax reported that hackers had access to its credit-card database for a few hours this week. Although the company claims that the breach was caused by sabotage committed by former employees, and that only a limited number of people saw the credit-card info, this report only adds fuel to the fire of those who are wary about the escalating amount of credit-card information being held by e-commerce sites.
