High speed access--are you secure?

This site, secure-me.net, is a bit on the geeky side, but it has a really cool tool that scans your IP for some potentially serious security flaws brought on by the way you are connecting to the Net. Cable Modem user and DSL users are particularly vulnerable if only due to their predictable IP addresses. That means a hacker can program a scan of 200+ people in your neighborhood in a matter of a few minutes. Whether you take adavatage of the security scan or not (requires free registration), the site is an information gold mine (as is the sister site dslreports.com). Kevin Lee
