Top » Entertainment: TVTurn on the PowerSite: http://www.yesterdayland.com/saturday/shows/synopsis/354.aspIf you grew up in the '70s, the expression "Heeeeey yoooooou guuuuuuuys..." probably evokes a nostalgic feeling for you. That greeting welcomed viewers to "The Electric Company," PBS's frenetic grammar and math educational program. Part "Sesame Street," part "Laugh-In," the show featured such memorable characters as Fargo North Decoder and Easy Reader and relied on an ensemble cast that included Rita Moreno and Morgan Freeman. For a quick catch-up on this beloved 1971-1981 series, visit Yesterdayland's terrific Electric Company page. There you can post your own memories of the show (mine inavriably involve "Crank") and take part in a densely-populated online message board community. The rest of Yesterdayland is a hoot as well. If you're living in the past, this is clearly the town watering hole. Fri, 21 Jan 2000 08:28:27 -0800
