Harvey Lang

This online exhibit, attractively presented by the Chicago Jazz Archive, salutes Harvey Lang, the Chicago jazz drummer who played with a number of famous musicians during his 50-year career. Lang survived, as most professional musicians, by not only his talent and his fortitude, but his versatility and ability to adapt to new group formations. Even a very serious car crash couldn't stop him. Though he is no longer with us, his memoirs continue to remind us of his zest for jazz and for his craft.
