GRAND COURT EXAMINES GRANDPARENTS' RIGHTS

Do grandma and grandpa have a legal right to visit with their grandchildren? Or does such a visit interfere with parents' "fundamental liberty interests" in raising their children? The U.S. Supreme Court must soon decide. The brand-new site, igrandparents.com-—"enriching the lives of grandparents and their grandchildren"-—emphasizes that the significance of this high court decision is enormous. Although six of the nine jurists are grandparents, Supreme-watchers won't even guess the outcome. Either way, the decision-—expected in June-—will affect grandparents for generations to come.
