Tribute To Wendy Bagwell & The Sunliters

There are no words to describe Wendy Bagwell, who passed away suddenly in 1996. His death ended the career of Wendy Bagwell & The Sunliters, laying to rest a legacy and birthing another one in its place. And there are no words necessary to describe that famous platinum monologue called "The Rattlesnake Story." While singing at a church where unbeknownst to them snakes were handled, Wendy was encouraged to pick up a snake to show forth his faith. His quip was..."If God told me to pick up a snake, I surely would. But He didn't and I ain't!" This group will never be forgotten, nor the memory of its greatness erased from eternity. The whole of the story from its beginning to its ending and beyond can be found here, with magnificent photographs of an outstanding group and a special era. We salute this group with a great salutation, and know that heaven received Wendy with the same shout of victory that he left behind. Thanks to Jan for sharing it with us. Though Wendy is gone, the sunshine remains.
