Can't remember the words to the song as you are hoisting the Main? Check out this site. On the first page there is a search option: Digitrad Lyrics Search. Type in "Sailor," and you will be transported to a huge list presented in alphabetical order. How huge? I'm afraid I didn't have the patience to get through the whole thing. I did get through 350 titles and was only up to the J's. Click on any title, and you will be presented with the words to that song. You can also search by the title. I searched for Emdund and was rewarded with 3 songs, including the Edmund Fitzgerald. For some of the shanties, there is also a MIDI file you can download to hear the melody (e.g., A Rovin). Save the MIDI file and you can have background music on your computer for your site, being careful about copyright infringments, of course.
