Mutiny

Site: http://www.tallshipbounty.org

There are 2 replicas of the HMS Bounty. This is the site for the Australian one. It provides a brief history of the ship and the mutiny, where 13 crew members, including Fletcher Christian, took over the ship from Lt. William Bligh (aged 33) and put him--and 18 of the 33 men who supported him--into a longboat which was sailed 3,600 miles with only a sextant and a pocket watch for navigation. Quite a feat. What happened to the other 13 men who supported their captain? What happened to the mutineers? Logon to find out. It's all quite sad. The site also provides a very nice selection of links both on a separate page and throughout the site. It even includes a few USCG test questions.
