Gambling Collectables Reveal American History

Punchboard.com is an informative site dedicated to passing on the history and allure of an American classic - the punchboard. Antique wooden punchboards range in size and decor, but ultimately consist of a plank drilled with hundreds of small holes. These holes were filled with bits of paper marked and rolled. Players would pay a small fee to take their chance at the big prize. The operators learned how to cheat this early form of American lottery by removing or not including the winning ticket.
