This is the official site of the Robot World Cup Initiative (otherwise known as RoboCup)--an organization devoted to furthering AI and robotics research by organizing...soccer tournaments. For robots, that is. It's a clever idea when you think about it: building robots that have to contend with "autonomous agents, multi-agent collaboration, strategy acquisition, real-time reasoning,...and sensor-fusion"--and then to put together a team that can beat the Sony league is no mean feat.
