What is this concept called New Consonant Music? NCM is a trend, or an "attitude," well-described with the motto, "if you have something to say, just say it with your own words." It is a reaction against the Modernist period, that played only to intellectuals and the composers themselves. The site contains bios of the more famous post-modern composers and accompanying MIDIs that give you an auditory sense of what it's all about. These samples are intended to communicate emotions and experiences; you are invited to see how well the composers succeed with you.
