In fact, blue is the pre-dominant color in the design of the site, created to mark the 100th anniversary of the composer's birth. You can read up on the genesis of "Rhapsody in Blue," along with Gershwin's other major works, or learn all about his life and times in the biography section. There's also an article about whether this jazz-influenced musician, who was not classically-trained, deserves to be called a "great" composer. A few sound files would have added value to the site, but what's here is clearly worth a surf.
