So Leona Lewis will be in the dark (literally) for an hour on Saturday, March 27th, 2010 at 8:30 pm. She will be joining millions of people around the world, shutting off the lights to send a message to others that they care about Mother Earth.
Earth Hour was started by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2007 to urge people to take notice of climate change issues. Since then, it has captured the attention of the world. In 2009, nearly one billion people turned off their lights for Earth Hour.
