Comedian, Drew Carey raises the stakes to $1 million for a Twitter handle auction to support the Livestrong campaign. “@drew” is the moniker owned by Drew Olanoff, who is a cancer-fighter, blogger, and the man behind the “Blame Drew’s Cancer” campaign.
Originally, Carey offered $100,000 if he received 100,000 followers on his account, @DrewfromTV by November 9th. He exceeded that and raised the stakes even higher to $1 million if he got one million followers by midnight of December 31, 2009. Unfortunately, he did not meet the goal but he announced that he will still donate $1 million to Livestrong as soon as @DrewfromTV and @Livestrong have a combined following of one million.
