“Twestival 2010″ Focuses on Providing Access to Education

Join cities around the world offline for the biggest social media fundraising event. On Thursday, 25 March 2010, people in hundreds of cities  will come together to rally around an important cause. The 2nd Annual Twestival will benefit Concern Worldwide (@concern) an international humanitarian organization transforming the lives of the world’s poorest, most marginalized children through access to education.

To help with the initiative, a list of stars have donated unique items to a charity auction, which includes a VIP experience with Imogen heap,  a phone call from Justin Beiber, a meeting with Ann Curry and a tour of NBC studios, a goodie bag from Paris Hilton, and signed items from other top celebrities.

The Twitter Festival or “Twestival” uses social media for social good. Interested in helping or want to see what’s going on in your city? Visit the twestival website: www.twestival.com
