Charles and Camilla, Britain’s Royal Family Marriages
It’s well known that Britain’s Royal Family has impeccable manners. They speak beautifully and know which fork to use. But sadly their breeding has not translated into matrimonial bliss. Recent failed royal marriages resemble a NASCAR wreck.
While the Queen has been married for almost 60, not always happy years, others have not done as well. Margaret, her sister, married a photographer. It did not develop and ended up in the dark room. Princess Ann, the Queen’s daughter, married a military man. Both were passionate show-jumpers but their relationship came up lame. While Charle’s fairy tale wedding to Diana in Westminster Abbey ended up as a horror story in the tabloids. It seems that the Royals make lousy mates.
So it’s very exciting that Britain’s future king has mustered the courage to give it another shot, this time with Camilla, the love of his life. Given that history is not on their side the success of this marriage is too important to be left to cupid.
That’s where I come in. As a Life Coach I help people achieve goals. Since the soon-to-be weds seem financially secure I can probably be most useful to them in building a fullfilling relationship. So I’m thinking of sending them this email:
“Life Coach expirienced in helping mature, high networth couples strengthen their relationship. References upon request.”
I’m hopeful that I’ll hear back because too much is riding on this one. The House of Winsor badly needs a win. Sure they may haggle about my fee, but as an Anglophile I’m prepared to cut them some slack. I don’t see this an as money maker it’s more like the colonies exporting family values to the monarchy.
I’ll let you know what happens.

No amounting of coaching could transform generations of in-bred idiocy which means that come what may some will seek to have their cake and eat it. I say let them eat cake and see who cares.

You know I’m getting a little tired of the cynical approach so many people have to our royal family. They aren’t in-bred dunces, they’re a normal household with a great deal of responsibilities that happen to be in the public limelight from cradle to grave. Some might say then why don’t they jack it in. The royal family offer one thing that no other single part of this country can, a focal point for tourism trade and a moral upbringing. They bring all guns to bear on any member of their house who steps out of line, and that’s because they know the potential repurcussions of a public faux pas…and before you say it, I consider myself left wing…but with a fair grasp of what’s good for this nation.
So come a civil war I’ll wear the lions thank you.
Oh, and on the ‘have your cake and eat it’ bit. Yes, the royals get well looked after, but the tourist trade based on international interest on the royals far outweighs the cost of their upkeep. Instead of whinging about them, have a look and find out exactly how much they cost us to keep…it’ll open your eyes.
