Britney Spears, Paris Hilton Banned From Oscars. Academy Awards Worried about “downmarket scrum.”
Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are reportedly banned from the Oscars. Several sites are quoting the same source that claims that the Academy Awards is worried about “downmarket scrum.” Well, I don’t even think the folks at the Academy use the word scrum regularly, so it sounds like a rumor to me. Hollywood’s Kodak theatre capacity is less than half that of the previous venue, the Shrine Auditorium. So perhaps there isn’t a snub going of after all.
