Spyware and Adware have caused a secondary epidemic. Users running spyware removal software are also removing third party cookies. These cookies, like “the force” can be used for good or for evil. Unfortunately most third party cookies are getting deleted by users. With cookies, users could get more targeted ads with behavioral personalization. Instead, they will get freshly un-targeted filler ads instead. So, by protecting themselves from one kind of advertising, they cut themselves off from advertising they may actually like.
