NY Jets a Go for NYC Stadium, Manhattan 2012 Olympics Bid Stregthened, MTA Votes YES

The NY Jets have a green light from the MTA for the west side Stadium on West Side of Manhattan. The MTA voted unanimously to approve the Jets plan for the stadium. The proposed stadium would have a retractable roof and would, if correctly designed supplement the Javits convention center and boost our chances for the 2012 Olympics bid.

my comment is I think our state taxes should go for homeless people, feeding malnurished children, healthcare not a luxury iten for sports. i am a big football fan, but i don’t want my tax dollars spent on recreational enterprises.

I am thrilled about the new Stadium. Jobs Jobs Jobs. The “working” population deserves a stadium where they can spend their hard earned dollars, doing the things they enjoy doing! With regard to healthcare and homeless, New York has a bad habit of providing assistance, (medicaid) to New Yorkers who have never worked a day in their lives and have absolutely no desire to! (why would they? it’s free) In the meantime, my health care expense is out of this world, because I WORK! GO STADIUM!!! I look forward to the opening. Thank you to all who voted “yes”.
