Is it just me, or were they absolutely terrible on Oprah???
May 4th, 2005 at 2:58 pm
I thought they were amazing on Oprah. Nothing like I expected from Simon. They actually gave me goosebumps…
May 6th, 2005 at 12:44 am
Yeh, I thought they were terrible on Oprah, but then I listened to their website, and it’s pretty good. I love Oprah, ahhhh…. anything she endorses is great

Simon, “Il Devo” is a masterpiece! The music is absolutely incredible and every morning……….the “boys” begin my day with such beauty and joy. Thank you, Simon, for creating this wonderful CD. Grace

Il Divo is incredible. Saw them on The View and ran right out and bought the CD. Never before have I heard such wonderful music and voices. Thank you Simon.

Simon my hat is off to you for giving us ildivo. I can’t stop
playing this cd . They are magnificent. Bravo
May 8th, 2005 at 2:37 am
Saw them on “Today”. Bought the CD the very next day and love it! I listen to it all the time!
May 8th, 2005 at 2:43 pm
I was home sick from work when I saw Il Divo on Oprah (it must have been fate)… I think they are thrilling and captivating! I cannot stop listening to their CD - I have not been this excited by anything on the music scene in years!
May 8th, 2005 at 3:42 pm
… I would also like to say that I sensed a lot of hostility from Oprah toward Simon that day… I get the distinct impression she doesn’t like him. I also did not think she was as warm to Il Divo as she is to most of her guests/performers - she was merely polite to them.
I loved their performance but I did feel that they were a little stiff - perhaps they were sensing the tension…
May 20th, 2005 at 7:20 pm
As soon it was released, I purchased the CD. Simon, they are my ‘idols’. Thank you for bringing together such amazing artists.
May 20th, 2005 at 10:46 pm
What can I say…I love their music. I bought their cd a month ago and I listen to it constantly and everytime it brings multiple eargasms!
May 23rd, 2005 at 7:42 pm
We love Il Divo. They are an absolutely amazing group. Their music is very relaxing, can drain away the stresses of everday life. Hope they make many more CD’s. Thank you Simon & BRAVO on this accomplisment.

I first heard Il Divo on an awards program last week (I believe it was the Daytime Soap Awards) and immediately went out to buy the CD. I have never been so taken with sound and voices as I am with Il Divo. I am in my 50s and told a co-worker that “I was going to my office for lunch and listen to the young boys”. I listen to them all day. I hope I will be able to see them in person. Simon, I wonder about you on American Idol, but WOW, you done good. Thank you so much.
May 27th, 2005 at 3:17 pm
Nothing can beat this group. I bought 4 cd’s and gave them to
family and friends who are just as impressed. Please let me know when the DVD will come out. I want to see them perform.
Am 78 years old but i’m just as thrilled. THANKS SIMON!
May 27th, 2005 at 3:18 pm
WHEN IS THE DVD COMING OUT?
May 28th, 2005 at 8:41 pm
Normally, I’m not one who favors opera. However, after seeing Il Divo perform on Oprah, my ears have been opened to a whole new genre of music, and I must say, it is absolutely riveting. These four guys are brilliant vocalists, not to mention gorgeous! Two thumbs up for these divine performers.

This group is incredable. I can’t stop listening to the cd. Are they having any concerts this summer. I sure hope so they are so great.
June 1st, 2005 at 1:25 pm
this group is wonderful I love them thanks for something different and good.
June 12th, 2005 at 1:13 am
I am a male, 68 years old, and an affecianato of music period. When I saw these young men sing on the daytime soap opera emmys I thought to myself “This musical group will surpass the Beatles if their management handles them properly.” What an innovation! I’ve never been so completely obsessed by such musical talent in my entire life! If it’s possible to “wear out” a CD then mine is well on its way to extinction. I don’t care two hoots about the American Idol Show, but if Simon is responsible for bringing Il Divo (The Divine Ones) to the world he has more than accom0plished his mission in Life. Thank you so much!
June 12th, 2005 at 11:00 am
These guys will turn the musical world upside down! They haven’t been too exposed to American audiences, but look out when they do. I’m quite certain they will set records wherever and whenever they appear.
June 23rd, 2005 at 8:50 am
Just have to listen the album. Perfect *****

First it was Celine Dion, then came the three tenors, now we have the quality of Divo, I trust that much more is going to be forthcoming from this magnificent Quartet

We lost our beloved mum in March of this year and we played Mama at her funeral. The words mean everything to us and are so much what mum would’ve said herself. Thank you Simon and Il Devo. My mum loved you too.
July 3rd, 2005 at 1:12 pm
My husband plays this CD at every possible moment. He absolutely loves it.
When is the DVD coming out because I will definitely buy it for him and if they are
to have a concert, please save me two tickets.
July 5th, 2005 at 7:56 am
What can I say…When I am working on my computer I have the CD on a loop in iTunes for inspiration. Truly Il Divo
July 5th, 2005 at 3:37 pm

July 7th, 2005 at 3:10 am
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! TO THESE GUYS AND THEIR ANGELIC VOICES. I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THEM ALL BECAUSE OF THIS CD AND HOPE THAT THEY WILL MAKE MANY MORE CD’S IN THE FUTURE. THANK YOU SIMON FOR HAVING A DREAM TO MAKE OPERA MORE APPEALING TO THE MASSES. MOVE OVER THREE TENORS, IL DIVO IS HERE TO STAY!

July 10th, 2005 at 5:48 am
This CD is awesome and I’ve gotten my co-workers hooked on Il Divo. I’ve never been a huge fan of opera type music, but this group got me interested. (It doesn’t hurt that these men are GORGEOUS!) Bravo, Simon.
July 13th, 2005 at 8:17 pm
I thought they were awesome. When I first heard the song it gave me chills. It is a beautiful song.
July 14th, 2005 at 10:00 pm
….and yes, there are Americans who can appreciate the beauty of harmony and the magnificient changes from pianissimo to the grand operatic highs and lows. Hope there are many Americans and others “acorss the pond” that still have the ability to appreciate the flowing drama of harmony and heavenly harmony. ….and can appreciate the beauty of a language that is not their own. Hope that Il Divo goes on a tour soon–gotta see them in person!! Thank You Simon Cowll!!!

I am in a tither due to ACCIDENTALLY erasing my tape of Oprah and “my boys”. I watched it everyday that I was home just as a way of starting out my day on the right now and with the right tone, pardon my pun. Anyone out there willing to send me a copy/dvd of them on Opray? I will pay shipping and the cost of the blank DVD. OH PLEASE. I am heartsick.
Now to the first commentor J. Yep, it’s just you. I, like everyone else, knew not what to expect as Simon was going on and on about his group, until they walked out and started singing. I sat with my mouth open the whole time. Then, back tracked on my Tivo over and over again. My goodness what beautiful music they make. Added bonus that they’re all lovely on the eyes too. Like most are saying here, I am so not lying when I say I listen to that CD over and over all the way to the airport and then again, over and over on the 86 mile drive home. Their music is stuck in my head around the clock 24/7. That’s okay, other negative things could be there instead, so I’m grateful for their find. Their music/voices literally makes me tear up.
July 23rd, 2005 at 12:03 pm
…certainly should have done a spell check or a brain check, sorry for the few times my sentences made no sense. If you can help me with a dvd of erased Oprah show, I’ll post email addy. Also, anyone know of concert dates or where to find info on that?
July 23rd, 2005 at 10:04 pm
wonder where my comments are that I posted early today?
anyway, someone please tell me how to get the copy of Oprah’s show that they performed on. I erased my Tivo on accident, didn’t even know you could erase it on accident. Heartsick until I get a new one.
Serious, anyone know why if I posted earlier, two posts actually, they’re now gone?
July 27th, 2005 at 11:47 am
I loved them so much I taped the show and watch it all the time!
July 29th, 2005 at 2:54 pm
The music is heavenly.
I was reading a book in Chapters bookstore when I heard this music played from the overhead speakers. It immediately captured my senses. I don’t usually buy cd’s, but bought one the next day. I am really glad that I did.
I have been listening to it over and over again at home, in the car, at work and every chance I get. It is majestic… incredible.
Bravo to the group and Simon.

Il Divo is awesome!! Sure wish they would start a USA Tour, particularly performing in the State of Georgia. I’d love to hear them live! Their website needs work . . . most of the options are not functional, particularly their mailing list. Hope it’s up and running soon, because I want to be kept informed on their USA appearances. Anyone who says they sound terrible on Oprah, must be deaf. I feel in love with the sound of their voices at first listen. If I had not seen them on Oprah I would have considered it a great lose.
I have their music going continually while working on my computer and just can’t get enough of them. I can’t wait until I get news that are performing in my city or near enough. I want front and centre seats and don’t care what the tickets cost.
I just hope my female conterparts will refrain from screaming while they are singing. They have the most beautiful voices and make me wish I was 26 again.
