FDA OK on Silicone Breast Implants
Silicone-gel breast implants by Mentor Corp by be re-appearing on the market after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) panel recommended by a 7-2 vote to lift the ban on silicone breast implants. Don’t expect to see any evidence of silicone replacing saline in a breast near you soon. The panel advised that the FDA design strict conditions that will limit ease of getting the new implants. Some health risk is still possible and integrity of the implant should be closely monitored.
