Sharks of all kinds are suddenly hot if you ask the Yahoo Buzz Index. Shark attacks and whale sharks game sharks, just about every kind you can think of including the shark vacuum. Even the rugby team is popular. Of course not many in the USA watch rugby in comparison with internationally.

Maria Sharapova has displaced Anna Kournikova, not on the tennis court, but in the Yahoo search popularity. Apparently tennis hotties are more important than tennis players who can actually win titles. When both happen at the same time, as may hapen with Sharapova, who knows how popular she could become.
