Amy Daws was struggling through a particularly rough patch of writer’s block when she took her car to get new tires. That’s when inspiration struck. While in the waiting room of ‘Tires, Tires, Tires’ Daws cranked out over 4,000 words.

Daws, kept on finding reasons to come back to her new spot. But once she ran out of family and friend’s with car troubles, Gary Michaels, the general manager of ‘Tires, Tires, Tires’ reached out and invited her to write in their waiting room whenever she wanted. The store jokingly named Daws their “Writer in Residence” for 2018.

In regards to her cure for writer’s block, Daws says, “I’m new to writing full-time and the adjustment to working from home was not going well for me. Then one day, I go in for some new tires, hopeful to get just a couple hundred words done and bam! It was like lightning struck!”

Daws has since finished her book and ‘Tires, Tires, Tires’ couldn’t be more proud!
