Dog-friendly cafe to open in New York

Today reports that Boris & Horton, the first dog-friendly cafe in New York City, is opening up this week.

There are a few rules to this new cafe: no cats allowed, all dogs must be kept on leashes, and no more than two dogs per person. Another “rule” was far bigger and more difficult to tackle: FDA guidelines.

“Dogs are not allowed at the cafe bar,” Logan Mikhly, co-founder alongside Coppy Holzman, explains. In addition, there are separate areas for dogs and their owners — but a space in the middle to meet up.

There are also dog treats at the cafe, so dogs will have their own selection of treats. Dog toys and clothes are also available for purchase.
