Rachel Casey, who battled leukemia for three years as a child, is making grooming kits for sick children in her hometown, reports Wicklow News.

As a child, Rachel was treated at Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin, by the same oncologist she met with to distribute the kits. She has been collecting items with her family since Christmas and was able to gather 400 kits.

Rachel “wanted to give something back to the hospital that was so good to her in her time of need,” according to her interview on RTE News.
