The incredibly popular racing game, Mario Kart, is coming to your phone. Nintendo announced the development of a mobile-version of the game in a recent tweet: “The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near. A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour! #MarioKartTour Releasing in the fiscal year ending in March 2019.”
The arrival of Mario Kart for mobile devices furthers a push from Nintendo to embrace smartphones. Nintendo previously released their game, Super Mario Run for smartphones.
Nintendo has yet to release more information regarding the release since the tweet, but that hasn’t stopped Mario Kart fans from getting excited.
